A wild woman urge to…

Go on a solo pilgrimage.

As I prepare for my first Camino de Santiago, I feel consumed by the need to be alone on a long journey with God.

And to be READY for it.

I’m pulling out every tool I’ve learned in my 20 years of health and fitness coaching to be ready.

Stability work, functional training, and Pilates.

Hikes to build up my stamina.

Tracking macros and micros (which I never do) to make sure I’m getting in everything I need to recover properly.

Working on my gait and making sure my joints are moving in the most optimal way.

I’m journaling every day.

Tracking my consistent thoughts.

And noticing where I’m resistant to stillness, quiet time, and being alone with my thoughts.

Camino de Santiago: aka The Way of St. James, a pilgrimage to the Cathedral de Santiago where the remains of St. James

The more I show up for this journey, the better I feel. The better I feel, the better I get. The better I get, the easier it is to create stronger boundaries, a stronger body, and a clearer mind.

Changes are happening in every part of my soul and I’m here for it!

José Ortega y Gasset

“Walk slow, don’t rush. That place you have to reach is yourself.”

Preparing for a 500 mile hike might sounds scary but…

I love a good Master Plan!

Maybe it’s the chef in me who’s thinking so far ahead that prep feels like Mise en Place.

Maybe it’s the personal trainer in me who love’s a good athletic challenge.

Or maybe it’s the part of me who suffered for 20 years with chronic illness, clinical depression and obesity that feels BLESSED to be free of all of it…

And wants to do ALL the things!

Whatever the case, I’ve spent at least three months researching stories, prep lists, housing, and which path to take.

This website was once dedicated to my coaching business but I decided to tear it down and use this as a place for posting my thoughts, prep, and the journey.

So you’ll be seeing me posting all about my prep:

-Diet

-Supplement regimen

-Training program

-Mobility work

-and more…

And if you’re looking for more info on my work, you will find all coaching services, courses, supplements, my book, and more HERE.
